The starting point of my work is the experience of dissociation, a condition marked by moments of absence, disconnecting people from reality.
This interest expanded to include “non-normative” individuals—those considered dysfunctional, with altered perceptions of reality, affected by disorders or trauma—while maintaining a compassionate view of these states, often unjustly labeled as “madness, hysteria, disability…”
I create artistic gestures to represent them and try to reduce the gap between those considered “able” and those who are not, to find a way to bring them together.
Through these encounters with dissociated bodies, I asked myself how to welcome these disorders and differences into the realm of art.
