Anaïs Dubois
In my work, I explore memory and space through painting and drawing, revisiting my childhood and daily life.
I confront my memories with photographs that bear witness to them, to create fragmented, colorful compositions that lie between reality and imagination.
I aim to document moments of life that may seem ordinary but are beautiful in their simplicity, in a very free way, not necessarily sticking to reality.
In doing so, I question temporality and perception—whether of space or of family and friendship events.
These hybrid images are half-documented, half-invented, carried by the emotions and questions that run through me.
They can be seen as visual wanderings, explorations of an intimate world open to interpretation.
