Amel Nafti
Amel Nafti has been the Director of ENSAD Dijon since September 1, 2023.
From 2006 to 2018, Amel Nafti held several positions at Villa Arson in Nice, successively serving as the head of the contemporary art media library (study and research library), research coordinator, and then Director of Studies and Research. During this time, she led a modernization plan for the library, associated with a significant project to digitize the institution’s photographic archive collections and print collections. Her pedagogical responsibilities included overseeing the entire higher education program for the National Superior Diploma of Visual Expression (DNSEP), under the license-master-doctorate reform, and structuring the institution’s research activities.
As the Director of the École supérieure d’art et design Grenoble-Valence from 2018 to 2023, she implemented a new institutional project titled “For a School in Transition: Ecological, Economic, and Social.” This project was based on an expanded training offer that introduced new specializations for the National Superior Diploma of Visual Expression in art and graphic design, along with a new Research Unit in Art: “Hospitality.” She supported the renovation project for the Grenoble site in close collaboration with the teams.
At the helm of ENSAD Dijon, Amel Nafti is driving a project to structure the educational offerings by enhancing student professionalization to ensure the best possible career integration. She has positioned research as a key area for national and international development, aligned with the major European challenges of the European initiative, the New European Bauhaus. She also ensures that the institution is integrated into its local area through the urban campus project with the University of Dijon and other higher education institutions. Additionally, she involves the school communities in the reflection towards a renewed school that meets contemporary demands for sustainable production and new ecologies of art and design.
