Geneviève Bourgeois
I develop an artistic practice where play acts as a driving force for composition.
Bold colors, basic shapes, recycled materials: each piece is built through arrangements, detours, and sensitive adjustments. I draw on gestures from DIY and childhood, in dialogue with forms and objects from the domestic space, inspired by the world of my childhood home.
What matters to me is the creation of ambiguous spaces, where objects become thresholds, surfaces, and triggers of perception. The gaze moves, hesitates, explores. Nothing is fixed; everything invites an active and sensitive experience, at the intersection of the intimate and the constructed.
