Entrance exam for the first year

Admission to the first-year program at ENSAD Dijon is open to all baccalaureate holders in France and abroad, as well as Terminale students preparing for the baccalauréat. However, successful completion of the baccalauréat is mandatory for enrollment if admitted through the entrance exam. For more details, please check the official ENSAD Dijon website.

Admission requirements

Admission to the first year is through a competitive exam (in French). All candidates holding or preparing for a French baccalauréat or an equivalent must register exclusively via the Parcoursup platform: www.parcoursup.fr.

Exceptions

Candidates over 18 without a baccalauréat may apply via this platform, with project approval from ENSAD Dijon’s management.

 

Exam Fees

  • Non-scholarship students: 39 €
  • Scholarship students: 0 €

 

Disability Considerations

If you require accommodations for the exam due to a disability, submit a doctor’s letter during registration via the designated Parcoursup section.

This request must be made during the registration process, and the supporting document should be submitted through the designated section on the Parcoursup platform.

2026 Calendar

Step 1 – Pre-registration
19.01 → 12.03.2026

On parcoursup.fr
→ If you are in your final year of high school (subject to obtaining the baccalaureate for final admission to the institution).
→ If you hold a baccalaureate or an equivalent foreign diploma.

On ensad-dijon.fr
→ If you have interrupted your studies before the baccalaureate but can justify a personal and professional background.

 

Step 2 – Submission of the portfolio and payment of registration fees for the exam
19.01 → 12.03 → 01.04.2026

To be eligible for the exam, the candidate must submit their portfolio (maximum 5MB) online between January 19 and April 1, 2026, on this platform.

The candidate must also, no later than April 3, 2026, pay the registration fee of 39€ or submit their 2025-2026 scholarship notification to be exempted.

Step 3 – Exam

From April, eligible pre-registered candidates will receive a personal invitation for one of the dates (one-day exams).

Tests: artistic practice and general culture + interview with a jury with presentation of the personal work file.

The results will be posted online in June. No age limit for the competition.
