Missions and governance

ENSAD Dijon is one of the 10 national higher schools of art. It operates under the joint administrative and financial supervision of the ministries responsible for culture and higher education.


Missions

ENSAD Dijon’s mission is:

→ The artistic, scientific, and technical education of creators capable of designing, developing, and promoting any project in the field of visual arts;

→ The conception and implementation of research in various disciplines of visual arts;

→ The promotion of students’ work carried out as part of their studies, as well as the promotion of research conducted by the institution. It can organize actions to raise public awareness of contemporary creation;

→ Cooperation with French or foreign institutions pursuing similar objectives, particularly within the framework of higher education preparing for master’s and doctoral degrees.


Governance

According to Decree No. 2002-1519 of December 23, 2002, the École nationale supérieure d’art de Dijon is administered by a board of directors and led by a director, supported by a commission on research, teaching, and student life. The organization of admissions to the school and the structure of the studies conducted there are determined by an order of the Minister of Culture.
