Since 1997, Vent des Forêts has been leading a human and cultural project based on the encounter between the rural world and contemporary art in the heart of the Meuse department. The association operates on an agricultural and forested area of 5000 hectares. Each year, artists are invited for residencies to develop creative work in direct contact with the natural context, supported by artisans, companies, and volunteers eager to be involved in artistic research and production. A unique alchemy, specific to contemporary creation, is born in a spirit of conviviality, leading to memorable encounters and custom-made creations, exposed to the weather and the passage of time. As a result of these residencies, more than 250 works have been created, 150 of which are currently visible along 45 kilometers of marked forest paths, freely accessible, consisting of seven loops ranging from 1 to 4 hours of walking.
Pascal Yonet is invited by Carlos Castillo as part of the ARC Art et Anthropocene, histoire et devenir.
