The popularity of skateboarding has been steadily increasing since it became an Olympic discipline. In certain cities like Barcelona (Spain), Malmö (Sweden), and Bordeaux (France), where it is integrated into daily life, it contributes to urbanity. How could Dijon (France), an “anti-skate” city since the 1990s, become the next skate-friendly city? My DNSEP project is a proposed answer to this question. The skate spots in Dijon are connected by a route dotted with modules of varied textures that enrich the riders’ experience and encourage a wandering aspect in their practice. The urban experience is enhanced with a new, seamlessly integrated mobility.
