Europe, your frontiers

Engaged in an active partnership since 2023, the art and design schools of Dijon, Mainz, and Valencia will meet in Germany from March 31 to April 4 for a third intercultural workshop on the theme of Europe and borders.
For this workshop, students are invited to work collectively to share their perspectives on Europe in a creative manner. They choose a global theme that concerns and interests them particularly, such as environmental protection, migration, European elections, cultural diversity, architecture, or borders.
Prior to the workshop in Mainz, students worked on projects involving large graphic murals and multifaceted collages, primarily using digital photographs but also materials collected according to the themes addressed. These will be finalized through collaborative artistic interventions and presented during this week together. During the workshop, these murals will be printed, developed, augmented, and staged at the LUX pavilion in downtown Mainz.
