In the streets of Dijon, love stories are inscribed in silence. They cross eras, change forms, places and words, but persist in the city like a discreet memory.

My project is entitled The Spaces of Love. It is an exhibition project that explores the way romantic relationships are inscribed in the city and the traces they leave there. Faced with the increasing dematerialisation of encounters, this project seeks to reveal these fragile and often invisible marks, in order to question what our ways of loving say about our society.

Through an investigation conducted in Dijon, I explored meeting places, consulted archives and collected different traces linked to love : inscriptions, graffiti, engravings, heritage elements or personal stories. This research gave rise to a sensitive map as well as surveys and casts that make forgotten urban memories visible.

From this approach, I designed an exhibition conceived as a journey from the collective history of encounters to a more intimate experience. Inspired by the labyrinth of love and English gardens, the scenography invites the visitor to gradually discover these traces through a sensitive space constructed from reclaimed materials, notably cardboard tubes, in order to create a light and modular installation .

Through The Spaces of Love, I question the way the city preserves certain stories and erases others. The project thus questions the norms, gender relations and forms of power that influence the ways we meet, leave a trace and inhabit public space.
