My work questions wood, its journey and the values we attribute to it, from the forest to the object. Through the collection and observation of wood offcuts, I seek to reveal the potential of these materials often considered waste, by highlighting the traces of their history and transformation.
Through experimenting with assemblages and composition, I develop objects that emerge from the qualities specific to each piece rather than from a predetermined form. I thus explore a way of designing guided by the material, where the singularities, defects and marks of the wood become the constituent elements of each creation. My work offers another perspective on discarded materials, seen as the starting point for new forms, new uses and new stories.
